Far from extra difficult but not so easy either. There's a bit of uphill pull yes but up before y know it and the shortness leaves you wanting more. We went down as we came as Im against unnessarily 5k on the road Fabulous moderate level walk. I read that its no pain All gain. The rough terrains and the Atlantic breeze on the open peninsula are what make it a tough ramble.

Hike begins at Aashleagh falls car park, hop the fences and begin up, start is extremely wet with the walking path obscured by tall grass, tall grass also hides the bog holes which are atleast a couple of feet deep, at the top of the ridge it is hiking as usual, becomes very easy once you've crested the top although the terrain is very wet in places. Waterproof footwear is a must, walking stick would've been great to have for the bog holes. Overall a great experience, beautiful views from the top.
