some absolutely stunning sections between upperchurch and Templederry on the highest parts. very poor waymarking and trail maintenance between Latteragh and Templederry, some of the waymarking just ended or you couldn't find the place to get into a field, hard to know if they're still making improvements. First time I've ever met a trail impassable because of overgrowth of brambles which is surprising because it's a new trail. Some of the farmland was difficult to walk due to poor ground conditions from cattle and would be difficult after wet weather too with regards to mud. Found 2 styles knocked over which was also a first.

The walk was very enjoyable, it takes in all sorts of terrain, forest, bog land , road walking and farms. I would grade the trail as moderate. The forest in the Cavan Burren was almost impassable due to a lot of trees being down. Also you park your car in Dowra, walk to Blacklion and get a taxi back to Dowra to collect your car. A very enjoyable day out.
