It can get busy but it’s still a great trail with lots to do. Finishing down at the harbour is great. Crabby Joes is a great place for fish and chips

The walk was very enjoyable, it takes in all sorts of terrain, forest, bog land , road walking and farms. I would grade the trail as moderate. The forest in the Cavan Burren was almost impassable due to a lot of trees being down. Also you park your car in Dowra, walk to Blacklion and get a taxi back to Dowra to collect your car. A very enjoyable day out.
