Loop
A demanding loop from Honister slate mine covering about 6 miles with roughly 1,800 feet of combined elevation change. This moderate route packs in steady climbs and descents over rugged terrain, best suited to fit, experienced hikers, especially in winter. Expect moorland views, rocky paths, and changing gradients throughout. The hike starts and finishes just outside the Honister slate mine where you can park for £5 a day. It's convenient yet surprisingly wild and remote.
