Challenging 17.4 km loop from Nether Wasdale for experienced hikers, with around 685 m of ascent and 722 m of descent. The route explores the quieter western side of Wasdale, offering changing views towards Wast Water and surrounding fells. Steep, rocky sections and sustained climbs make this a demanding 4.5–5 hour outing, rewarded by open fell scenery and a sense of remoteness before returning to Nether Wasdale.
