Climb to County Kilkenny's highest point on the Brandon Hill Loop walk. A moderate to difficult 12-mile hike, it climbs to Brandon Hill (1689 ft), rewarding with 360-degree panoramic views over to Hook Lighthouse and the Blackstairs Mountains. The route starts and ends at the Outdoor Hub in the town of Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny, Ireland, and is mainly forest tracks with small country road and open hillside trail – with the most challenging sections surrounding the summit and steep, rocky sections on the descent. Dogs are allowed on the trail and post-hike rest, refreshments and amenities can be found in the town of Graiguenamanagh where there is a variety of cafes, shops and restaurants.
