A nice easy walk, but a word of warning, the gravel forest road ends at grid ref:NY374 235. You can continue dow what looks to have been a cleared cutting many years ago made by the felling machinery but the ground underfoot does become less easy to walk. It is mainly now heather and long grass over spongy moss but there are some ruts and gullies to be mindfull off and a few fir trees to plough through. It is reasonably easily passable though and last for a total of just over 1km before exiting at the old coach road at grid ref:NY370 227 with an easy hop over a non-barbed wire boundary fence. The rest of the walk is gravel and tarmac.
