A difficult hike that can be walked in either direction, the Prince Williams Seat Loop, near Glencullen, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Ireland, has a total elevation gain of 1364 ft. It is mostly off-road with a small road section at the end (clockwise), taking in Cloon Wood and climbing to the higher points of Prince William’s Seat peak at 1820 ft and Knocknagun, also at 1820 ft. Prince William’s Seat borders the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin Mountains, with scenic views and wild flora and fauna throughout.
The trail consists of mountain trails, stone paths, and has some small stream crossings and boggy sections. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
