A moderate to strenuous 9km trail taking in the beautiful Torc Waterfall within the Killarney National Park, near Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, it offers views over Muckross Lake with an elevation gain of 1227 ft. Park at Muckross House, a 19th century mansion with gardens, café and toilet facilities, and follow the trail past the Lake on predominantly paved lanes and gravel footpaths, with some rocky stepped sections. Enjoy a variety of lake views and woodland pathways with an abundance of wildlife to spot, including grazing deer. There are three circular walks taking in the waterfall with differing difficulty levels, this being the most strenuous.
Dogs are not allowed within Muckross House and the gardens but are in the Killarney National Park if kept on a leash.
