What to expect
This is a fairly strenuous loop trail of just over 8km, located in County Clare. The trail starts and finishes in Belvoir trailhead carpark, not far from the village of Kilkishen in East Clare. The trail consists of woodland paths, hard-core paths and boardwalks, expect some muddy sections, especially in the forest parts. The climb up to the 12 O’Clock Hills peaks is strenuous. Along the route look out for the sites of cultural and historic interest; this trail aims to celebrate the heritage of the many hill dwellers who once lived in this area.
