Good walk, mainly tarmac around Loch. Gradual incline up to Primrose Hill giving superb views of Katrine and the surrounding mountains.

from forest, no path over hill to track above loch are. then none again and had to follow fence posts to the path up Ben Venue. We didn't feel we trusted to go down the steep way with no path in the rain and came back conventially
