A demanding high-level hike from Pont Pen-y-benglog in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia), climbing about 2,216 ft over roughly 3.0 miles with only minimal descent. The route quickly gains height above Llyn Ogwen, offering rugged mountain scenery and expansive views of the surrounding peaks. Steep, sustained ascents and uneven rocky sections make this best suited to fit, experienced walkers with good footwear and confidence on rough terrain.
