I started in Porto and hiked up to Santiago de Compostela within 11 days. The first 2-3 days right after leaving Porto it can be very easy to get a little lost along the way, because there are not many yellow arrows pointing the way to Santiago. Other than that, I can totally recommend it. It’s easy to walk, good for all fitness levels and there are a lot of „Albergues“ to stay the night. Also if you are not a pilgrim, you will find tons of options a stay. You love the ocean? Even better! The fresh breeze is going to be your loyal companion. This is a very good way trail for beginner levels.
