Great hike but tough, during winter, autumn and early spring, expect very bogy conditions, parts of the rough path will be waterlogged so dress accordingly, during summer months it is easier but with zero shade, few good water sources so bring plenty, oh and horseflies !!! Great endurance hike tho really fun ; )

The idea was to go up Kanturk and come back to lake after for swim but as it was such a hot day everyone wanted to go straight to the lake. So this walk is actually less than 2 hours but we stopped at lake for over an hour to swim and lunch in the sun馃槑
