A nice simple trail. With a better off road buggy you could do the full loop. We went out as far as we could and just turned back. Still nice. Path is good but not perfectly smooth so just makesure it will work for your buggy.

Definitely helps to have hiking boots, was very muddy underfoot for much of the trail. My poor friend fell several times in a pair of regular runners. Took us about 4 hours, with a 20 min lunch stop and we did a good bit of the start through thick undergrowth which I'm sure added a few minutes. Saw plenty of people with dogs on the trail. We did the trail in the opposite direction than indicated and enjoyed the riverside walk at the end, which is a nice relaxing way to end the hike

Enjoyable trail, starting in Hollywood and ending in lovely Glendalough. Might be a good first overnight trip if planned for right, and is accessible at the start and finish by public transport from Dublin city center. Plentiful water access points along the trail. A good camp spot is St Kevin's Pool. Gorgeous views once you get to the top of the Wicklow pass. Quite a bit of road walking.

One of my favourite loops to bring people to in Wicklow! Always pretty quiet, beautiful views on all sides of the surrounding mountains, glenmacnass waterfall, and lough Dan. Usually takes about 3.5hrs including breaks at a steady pace. Don鈥檛 be fooled by the easy rating though, any beginners I bring here would need a base level of fitness! The path disappears for about 10mins just after kanturk peak but pretty easy to get back on track if you know the direction you need to be heading in. Beautiful all round
