Loop
The Balderhead Shacklesbury Round is a medium 2¼‑hour loop of about 6 miles, starting and ending near Balderhead Reservoir. The route follows rolling moorland and farmland tracks with gentle but steady climbs, gaining around 665 ft and losing 675 ft overall. Expect open views across the Teesdale hills, sections of quiet riverside and reservoir scenery, and exposed stretches where weather can change quickly. Suitable for reasonably fit walkers.
