A peaceful circular walk around Balderhead Reservoir, taking in several small, lesser known waterfalls along the surrounding gills. The route climbs into open moorland with wide views and a remote feel. The ground can be uneven and rough in places, with sections that are harder to follow, so experience is a must and it’s not suited to beginners. The walk then returns on an easier track beside the reservoir. A great choice for those looking for a quieter, more adventurous Teesdale walk away from the crowds.
