Good stuff, we enjoyed. Different bird species in the woods to back home with sights of pied flycatcher, tree creepers, corn buntings on the moorland and mandarin ducks. Paths through very old woodland, moorland, some rocky bits. A hop over a little river. My daughter had to get her feet wet with legs too short to get her over without. Very good walk. Took us a while with a bit of birding, a lunch break and a couple of coffee stops. Start finish from Longshaw car park.. free roadside parking would work too, but there’s good facilities at the start point we used.
