Park for free in Downe village where there are two pubs and a very small tea shop. . Benches in chrchyard and Downe Recreation ground (includes a childrens playground). Going clockwise, the walk traverses mostly shady paths and some open fields, finally entering the border of High Elms Nature Reserve (detour for the busy cafe).
