An easy 7.3 km circular walk from Luxted or Downe, ideal for a relaxed half‑day outing. Street parking in Downe and three spaces beside Telephone booth in Luxted village (see photo). The route undulates gently with about 146 m of ascent and 158 m of descent, offering mild climbs but nothing strenuous. There are benches in Downe and a small trees shop. The walk explores quiet country lanes and footpaths, with chances for countryside views and glimpses of traditional Kentish farmland and woodland along the way. There are three pubs in Downe and one in Cudham. Nearby is Charles Darwin home (Downe House - paid entry) and Christmas Tree Farm (paid entry)
