Nice short trail. Just check for tides time at the Holy Island and buses, from the island, as this constantly changes.

We did it over 4 days stopping at Harestanes, Yetholm and then Wooler, we camped for the firat two nights but I would recommend using B&B's!!

I walked this in five days, stopping at St Boswells for the first night as I was travelling to the start at Melrose. Thereafter, Jedburgh, Kirk Yetholm and Wooler were my stopovers. An excellent walk going through some breathtaking countryside, and the final day’s walk doesn’t feel as far because you can see the end for much of it. Walking across by the poles to the island is a must at the end.

A very enjoyable varied trail with a great finish on the Holy Island. We took 6 days to complete but would recommend that it is done in 5.

Crossing the mud flats to Holy Island at the end was incredible.
