The Cliffs of Moher the most famous cliffs in Ireland. Part of the Unesco Geopark - supporting sustainable tourism, the cliffs offer stunning views off the west coast of Ireland to the Atlantic ocean and the nearby Arran Islands.
The coastal trail is well marked along the way and is generally well-maintained footpath and trail. This route connects Liscannor to the famous town of Doolin. It is approx. 18km and is generally hiked in one direction, although can be done as an out-and-back.
While the trail is safe to walk, caution is advised along the trail as parts are not sheltered from the exposure of the cliff edge. Dogs are not allowed on the trail and walking with small children would not be advisable. There are large sections of road walking, especially when walking from Liscannor to Hag's head.
On-street parking is available in Liscannor and Doolin and you can take a taxi from either town to your starting point.
