Great scenic view on a lucky sunny day, nonetheless this path IS NOT MARKED and you have to rely on your instinct, common sense and experience. It is steep and extremely dangerous from about 2.5 to 3.2km. This part has to be done climbing on sheep tracks on grass on a highly steep slope especially from the first to the second peak. Absolutely not suggested to do in bad weather, grass becomes wet and slippery and this part is undoubtedly risky. All the track from 3 to 7km is more or less clear to do and easy, while descending part of the trail is basically, again, unexistent. There is NO real path in spite of following the map, you have to jump a couple of fences and cross a small creek with some bogs to eventually get near the initial road. If you get a good day certainly the path as the typical suggestive view of the glacier lake climbs but be aware of weather as there it also changes fast due to fronts coming from the north side of the peninsula which cross the peak.

the hike is rated strenuous on the placard but I found it moderate for the 15 minutes up the hill and easy the rest. took about an hour. sensible shoes required since it's rocky and boggy in parts. If you're following the waymarks, start with castle hill loop and finish with the bridge loop. easy parking by the signs
