Out and Back
The hike starts at one of the starting points for people hiking up the Munro, Scor gaoithe. The initial path is the same as you head up through the Pine forest, as the masses then head up the open slopes towards the munro we take the path to our left. This carries on upwards through more pine forest on a small path. It eventually comes out on to the open Mor land, a bit boggy in places but nothing to bad. Here we are walking up a pass between the two hills, heading for the high point of the pass. There is a little wind shelter on the path to stop and rest if you wish. As you get to the high point of the pass heading left up our hill is a small indistinguishable path, but you are basically heading straight up for about 200m. As the top flattened out the small Cairn will come into view. From here there are fine views of all the hills, Loch Insh, Glen Feshie and the surrounding areas. We headed back down the way we came as we were trying to dodge the rain. This walk is wel worth it and is one of the "hills less trodden".
