Point-to-Point
This walk begins at Craigmead car park in between East and West Lomond Hills in Fife. The route passes one of several reservoirs in the area, then swings west through Glenvale, passing the rock outcrop known as 'John Knox's Pulpit'. Now the route turns abruptly southwards, ascending to the plateau of Bishop Hill, and following the line of the cliffs. Finally, near the highest point on the hill, you will come in sight of Carlin Maggie, a pillar of weathered dolomite jutting upwards beside the nearby cliff. Local legend holds that Maggie (a witch) had angered the Devil, and for punishment was turned to stone.
