3 days of hiking and 2-nights camping starting and ending in Clonaslee. From the few multi-day hikes iv done in Ireland, this one has the least amount of road walking and you do feel like you're away from civilization. There are so many little hidden treasures on this trail from bridges, forests, waterfalls and rivers, the giant's grave, the stone man, and much more. The only bin we came across on the trail was at the Ridge of Capard car park. Around Monickanew the infrastructure around the trail is pretty impressive, there are loads of benches, camping spots, and even an eco toilet. There is also loads of water sources but you do need a filter and the water is pretty brown looking but tasted fine. There are lots of signs but a few areas were a little bit confusing, but the Hiiker app always kept us on track 😉

This trail map does contain roads through private properties. Had to jump fences to be on track.

We walked through this area today. Clean air and the scent of the forest. Unfortunately, nothing else. This place definitely isn't scenic. The route itself is 10 km long, taking three hours at a fairly brisk pace.
