This 12.4-mile circular walk from the village of Edale explores the heart of the Dark Peak, taking in three Ethel summits along the way. After following the scenic Grindsbrook Clough, the route climbs to Grindslow Knoll before visiting the striking gritstone outcrop of Crowden Tower. Crossing the wild moorland of Kinder Scout, the walk reaches the famous Kinder Downfall and continues to Kinder Low, the highest Ethel on the route. The final summit, Brown Knoll, is reached before a pleasant return through the Upper Booth area back to Edale. With 565 metres of ascent, this route combines dramatic scenery, iconic Peak District landmarks, and a rewarding collection of three Ethel summits.
