Loop
Starting from cutthroat bridge layby carpark. Head up onto Derwent edge. After following the path up to the edge path make sure you stop off to take on the stunning viewpoint of lady bower reservoir before turning back on yourself to walk along the edge.
Passing gritstone features such as cakes of bread salt cellar the path eventually reaches a cross road. You can choose to carry on northerly to Back Tor and return back before heading down in an easterly direction, Dropping elevation quickly into Fox Holes Carr passing disused quarries and the plantations around Strines Reservoir before bringing you back round past sugworth hall you can shorten this wall after leaving sugworth hall by walking along the road but this may inadvisable if the road is busy.
As always this is a walk of decent length of elevation drops and gains. Great for a single night wildcamping (no campsites on route) or if on an early start in good weather.
Days planned around your pace, with somewhere to stay each night.
