Starting off, the trail takes you through a gentle ascent into Ladybower Wood. This section is approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) long and gains about 50 meters (164 feet) in elevation. The path is well-marked and winds through a dense forest of oak, birch, and pine trees. Keep an eye out for local wildlife such as deer, foxes, and a variety of bird species.
As you continue, the trail leads you to Lead Hill, the highest point of the loop.
