Pretty walk. Good paths and lovely view of mountains, woodlands and rivers. Mid paths and sheep at the top so not the most dog friendly.

A good walk, with great views to be had. The csr park is forestry comission and free. The Initial part of walk can be wet, i.e. first 2 miles as you are walking through some streams. Nothing a decent pair of waterproof boots can't handle though. I approached Illgill and then Whinrig, so in a counter clockwise direction. Two steep ascents in the walk, but the trail and terrain is all very manageable.
