A lovely circular walk starting from Bowder Stone car park (CA12 5XA), taking in a mix of open valley views, peaceful woodland paths and the atmospheric cave once home to Millican Dalton. This route winds through Castle Crag woods and along the River Derwent before reaching the cave, offering plenty of quiet spots to pause and soak up Borrowdale’s beauty.
