This walk is based on the Christopher Goddard walk, which in turn is based on the book ‘The Gallows Pole’ by Benjamin Myers.
It’s a beautiful walk into the woods of Calderdale, taking in the historical backdrop of the Crag Vale coiners.
There’s also a slight diversion from the original to take you up the well worth visiting Stoodley Pile monument.
