Getting to the Trailhead To reach the starting point of the Cora Lakes via Isberg Trail, hikers can drive to the vicinity of the Granite Creek Campground, which is the nearest landmark to the trailhead. For those relying on public transportation, options may be limited, and it's advisable to check local transit resources for the latest schedules and routes that can get you closest to the area. From there, a taxi or a pre-arranged shuttle might be necessary to reach the trailhead.
The Journey Begins The trail sets off through a dense forest canopy, offering a mix of shade and sunlight filtering through the trees. The path is well-defined and meanders alongside creeks and through mixed conifer forests. Hikers should be prepared for a variety of terrain, including rocky sections and soft forest floor, which can be particularly lush in the spring and early summer months.
