This is a 5-mile looped hiking track starting and finishing in Victoria. Used for walking, hiking, trail running and birding this is a beautiful trail which is accessible all year round. The Pinnacles in the Grampians National Park are a very popular destination, providing some of the best views across the wilderness of Western Australia, so the trail can feel rather busy at times, especially in peak season. With its wild rocky outcrops, scrubland, dry forests and riparian woodland the terrain is ever-changing and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen if one is quiet; the Greater Grampians has a high biodiversity value so there are lots of different species to be found here. This trail is considered to be of medium difficulty, it has an elevation gain of just under 2000 ft so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Also expect a bit of scrambling at times and wear appropriate footwear. The trail is best tackled in an anti-clockwise direction, this avoids climbing up the many steps to Splitters Falls. For more information on how we grade trails, please click here. Generally well signed, it can be completed in around 3.5 hours although caution is advised on trail times as this depends on multiple variables; for more info, click here. This trail is not suitable for young children and dogs are not permitted.
