I was fortunate to hike the track after 2 days of good snow fall. About 1 foot fell & drifts were up to 5ft in some parts. Spectacular views. Lots of native fauna around. Well maintained cabins & tent platforms. Pristine world heritage national park.

The main trail itself is very well maintain and fairly easy. The real highlight is all the side trips which are very varied and can involve a lot of scrambling. Excellent huts en route.

The Overland track is Australia’s most well known tracks. The Tasmanian wilderness is outstanding. You are assured to see an abundance of Wallabies, Wombats and all iconic Australian wildlife. There are many amazing side trails and I can guarantee you will meet amazing people. The best hike I have done so far.
