What to expect
One of Ireland’s highest mountains, Glatymore is the highest in the Galtee Mountains, a range which stretches between the counties of Limerick and Tipperary for 30 km. To climb its 919 m and experience the amazing views from the summit, start in Galty Castle Wood, King’s Yard where there are signs for this loop path which will take around 6 hours or so to complete. Rated as a strenuous trail, expect to climb a bit in places but also make sure you stop and take in the spectacular scenery along the way.
