Benwee Loop Walk

A spectacular and varied trail in County Mayo, rated as strenuous. Starting and finishing at Carrowteigue Village the trail takes you through open bogland with its natural charm onto rugged coastal paths with dramatic drops and sweeping views out over the Atlantic Ocean. With many sites of cultural interest along the way, it is an interesting hike from all angles. Allow around five hours to complete the 12.5 km trial which is best suited to hikers with good fitness levels. Dogs are permitted on a lead. Marked by purple arrows on a white background.
