Mount Brandon from Faha is a 6-mile out-and-back trail starting and ending at the Faha car park near Cloghane Electoral Division, on the Dingle Peninsula of County Kerry, Ireland. Considered an extra difficult hike, this fairly short trail has some challenging steep sections, especially at the summit, but is well worth the climb. With an impressive total elevation gain of 2894 ft, the route takes in some small lakes and climbs to the peak of Brandon Mountain at 3083 ft, the 8th highest peak in Ireland (on the Arderin list). Views from the peak are breath-taking on a clear day, taking in Brandon Bay, the Dingle Peninsula and Lough Cruttia.
It is a well-marked exposed mountain trail for the entirety, so packing layers and provisions is advised due to inclement weather and changeable mountainous conditions.
Dogs are strictly not allowed on this trail.
