This is a great 5km loop hike designed to take in the raw natural beauty of Derrigimlagh bog with its unique and interesting flora and fauna and also the historic sites of the Marconi station, where Guglielmo Marconi transmitted the world’s first transatlantic radio signal in 1907 and the Alcock & Brown crash landing site after their epic transatlantic flight in 1919. With lots of information points on the trail, there is something for everyone here. Dogs are allowed on a lead and most of the trail is accessible with a pushchair.
