paths were at the edge of or in the river in places due to farm fences right at rivers edge. the path disappears in places where bank has collapsed, take care as you won't see this with grass until your footing is gone. cows in fields that you cross (walk not fenced off) will run at you as a herd so if you aren't used to dealing with them, avoid.

Trail is spot on. Sugarloaf is fairly steep and difficult in that regard. Lovely hike to Knockmealdown then. I took a little detour/short cut on the return down which is very safe to do on a dry day and after a stretch of good weather.
