Love this loop looking down on Coumshingaun. Steep climb to begin with but once up to the height it’s all easy going. Can be treacherous in places so footwear with good grip is needed and take extra care in wet or cloudy weather. Bit of scrambling at times too. Has become very popular so get there early if going at the weekend. Parking for about 15 cars in the car park.
Knockmealdown via Sugarloaf Hill

Trail is spot on. Sugarloaf is fairly steep and difficult in that regard. Lovely hike to Knockmealdown then. I took a little detour/short cut on the return down which is very safe to do on a dry day and after a stretch of good weather.

paths were at the edge of or in the river in places due to farm fences right at rivers edge. the path disappears in places where bank has collapsed, take care as you won't see this with grass until your footing is gone. cows in fields that you cross (walk not fenced off) will run at you as a herd so if you aren't used to dealing with them, avoid.
