To reach the trailhead, you can drive to Green River, Wyoming. If you're coming from Rock Springs, take I-80 West for about 15 miles (24 km) and then take exit 89 towards Green River. Follow Uinta Drive and then turn onto East Flaming Gorge Way. Expedition Island Park will be on your right. For those relying on public transport, Green River is serviced by regional bus lines, and from the bus stop, it's a short walk to the park.
