From Blaine, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the trailhead.

The trail begins with a gentle descent through a lush forest, where you can expect to see a variety of native plants and trees, including Douglas firs and Western red cedars. After approximately 0.5 km (0.3 miles), you will reach the first viewpoint, offering stunning vistas of the Strait of Georgia.
Continuing along the trail, you will come to a fork at around 1 km (0.6 miles). Taking the left path will lead you down to the beach. This section can be a bit steep and may be slippery, especially after rain, so proceed with caution. Once you reach the beach, you’ll be greeted by expansive views of the water and the opportunity to explore tide pools teeming with marine life.
At approximately 1.5 km (0.9 miles), you will enter the Lily Point Marine Reserve. This area is rich in both natural beauty and historical significance. The reserve was once a significant site for the Coast Salish people, who used the area for fishing and gathering shellfish. Interpretive signs along the trail provide insights into the cultural history of the region.
As you loop back towards the trailhead, keep an eye out for local wildlife. Bald eagles are frequently spotted in this area, and you may also see seals and otters along the shoreline. The forested sections of the trail are home to a variety of bird species, making it a great spot for birdwatching.
The final stretch of the trail takes you back through the forest, completing the loop at around 3 km (1.9 miles). This section is relatively flat and easy to navigate, providing a relaxing end to your hike.
