Getting There

To reach the trailhead, you can drive or use public transportation. If driving, head towards the Snoqualmie Pass area, and park near the Alpental Ski Area. For those using public transport, take a bus to the North Bend Park and Ride, then catch a shuttle or taxi to the Alpental Ski Area.

Trail Overview

The trail begins at the Alpental Ski Area parking lot. From here, you'll start your ascent through dense forest, where the air is filled with the scent of pine and the sounds of chirping birds. The initial part of the trail is relatively gentle, allowing you to warm up before the more strenuous sections.

Commonwealth Basin

At around 2 km (1.2 miles) in, you'll reach the Commonwealth Basin. This area is known for its lush greenery and the Commonwealth Creek, which you’ll follow for a short distance.
