The Paddy Buckley Round is one of the UK’s most demanding mountain circuits, linking 47 summits across the wild landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) over approximately 100 km (62 miles) with around 9,000 metres of ascent. This six-day backpacking version transforms the famous fell running challenge into an unforgettable long-distance hiking adventure, taking in the rugged Carneddau, Glyderau, Moelwynion, Moel Hebog, Nantlle Ridge and the Yr Wyddfa massif. Expect steep climbs, technical mountain terrain, remote ridges, historic slate quarries, ancient woodland and spectacular views throughout. With opportunities to wild camp and immerse yourself in the mountains, this route offers a rewarding challenge for experienced hikers looking to experience one of Wales’ most iconic mountain journeys at a slower pace. It combines physical endurance, outstanding scenery and a true sense of adventure from start to finish.
