Mountain Craft Verified. This is the official line used on our guided events, optimised for safety and efficient movement in all weather conditions.
ROUTE OVERVIEW A stunning 68km (42 mile) ultra-distance traverse across the quiet moorlands and forests of Conwy and Denbighshire. Unlike the busy peaks of Eryri, this trail offers true solitude through some of Wales’ most underrated landscapes.
THE TERRAIN Starting in Pentrefoelas, the route traverses the Denbigh Moors and heads deep into the Clocaenog Forest. It summits Craig Bron Banog (502m) for extensive woodland views before finishing on the open farmlands of the Vale of Clwyd, meeting the Offa’s Dyke Path at Bodfari.
CHALLENGE RATING Non-technical but physically demanding. This is a serious endurance undertaking, designed to be completed within 18 hours at a consistent walking pace.
NOTE Navigation through the forests and farmlands can be complex. Mountain Craft runs this as a fully supported guided challenge with vehicle checkpoints, check our profile for event dates.
