The trail begins near the Brighton Ski Resort, a well-known landmark in the region. As you start your hike, you'll find yourself surrounded by dense forests of aspen and pine, providing ample shade and a serene atmosphere. The initial part of the trail is relatively gentle, allowing you to ease into the hike.
About 1.5 km (0.9 miles) into the hike, you'll reach the first significant landmark, the Catherine's Pass. This pass offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. From here, the trail becomes steeper as you ascend towards Lake Catherine.
