The Skiddaw Group

Number of Wainwright's: Eight (Dodd, Carl Side, Long Side, Ullock Pike, Skiddaw, Little Man, Lonscale Fell, Latrigg)

A demanding 19.2 km loop near Keswick in the Lake District, starting and ending close to Keswick Launch on Derwentwater. Expect sustained climbs and steep descents with around 1,200 m of elevation gain and loss, making it suitable for fit and experienced hikers. The route rewards with classic Cumbrian scenery, expansive mountain and lake views, and a strong sense of remoteness despite beginning and ending near the lakeshore.
