Stoney Cove Pike to Hartsop Dodd

A demanding 10.6 km loop from Westmorland and Furness, this extra difficult route packs in about 594 m of climbing and 628 m of descent over roughly 4 hours. Expect sustained ascents, rocky or uneven sections, and potentially exposed stretches with wide views over the Cumbrian countryside. Suitable for fit, experienced hikers comfortable with steep gradients and changing weather, it rewards effort with a varied upland landscape before returning to the start point.
