We started this from the Ellins Tower bottom car park where there it is £7 to park for 24hrs but no facilities. There are toilets up at the cafe if needed. From here we dropped down on to a blustery Welsh Coastal path heading NW toward the lighthouse on South Stack (operational but closed). We then headed up on a good footpath, between the radio stations to take in South Stack Sea Cliffs & Holyhead Mountain at 220m. This point not only gives views over Holyhead & Anglesey but the whole of the Snowdonia National Park right down to the tip of the Llyn Peninsula. You may even get to see dolphins, seals and many different breeds of sea birds. On leaving the summit we dropped NNW towards North Stack Sea Cliffs before cutting back to Holyhead Breakwater Country Park. We then headed back South West from Mountain Cottage back past the Radio Stations and on to the car park to finish the walk. Plenty to explore here and sure we will be back. We took the scenic route back off the island via the Coast Road and 4 Mile Bridge where I have had a play about in a kayak previously.
